First things First – Your Passport and Visa
To enter Guatemala, the U.S. and Canadian citizens, EU countries, as well as a few other countries need a valid passport with at least 6 months of validity before expiration. After completing immigration and customs forms on arrival, visitors are given permission to remain in the country for up to 90 days.
Travelers from the US may visit the US State Department website for current information on travel requirements and regulations.
Visa for Stays over 90 Days
If you plan to stay in Guatemala for more than 90 days, a visa is required. Alternatively, you may also leave the country for 24 hours and then reenter to be granted another 90-day stay. All extended stay students and visitors must obtain an appropriate Visas on their own when they arrive in Guatemala as CASAS does not offer this service.
