Learn and Grow Through International Experience

Perhaps as a student, you would like to take a breather from your studies. This can be a wonderful way to expand your horizons and explore life direction.

Gap Year Options

Whether a month or a year, a gap experience through our CASAS programs can help you develop skills in leadership, collaboration, and understanding of social and global issues within this rich and diverse Central American context.

Studies on SEMILLA Campus: Option 1

Live with a host family in Guatemala City, participate in cultural learning activities, go on field trips,  and study Spanish on the SEMILLA campus.

We match students with an organization to complete a volunteer or internship assignments. Typical options include assignments in schools, clinics, women’s cooperatives, small-scale farms, and organizations that address issues of migration, environmental sustainability, and human rights.
